The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Blade length : 68.18 cm or 26.84 inches.
Sori : 1.32 cm or 0..51 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.14 cm or 1.23 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.48 cm or 0.97 inches.
Kasane : 0.45 cm or 0.17 inches.
Era : Kamakura period.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei(cut shortened) wide and thick
with fat Hi and soehi are engraved.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach
and utsuri appear fantastic nice texture.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha and notare and also gunome mixed
with very thick nioikuchi. In ha, ash and sunagashi
and also nice attractive long kinsuji scatter.
Special feature : The founder of the Miike school is Miike Denta Mitsuyo and educated many nice sword makers.
Dai denta which was owner by Ashikaga Syogun is one of the 5 well known swords in the world.
Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu also loved Miike sword which was called Sohaya no Tsurugi.
The sword is Mumei (unsigned) attributed as Miike.
Miike Denta Mitsuyo was working at Miike province (right now The place is Oomuta city Fukuoka prefecture) at Heian period.
This sword is wide and thick with fat Hi and soehi are engraved.
Especially long nice active Kinsuji is fantastic and attractive sword. The sword got Jyuyo Token 11th early stage.
The blade doesn't Kizu on the Ji which means the blade was made by Muku kitae (the just only well grained Tamahagane only)
It is very hard to buy such kind of famous swords.

Tsuba :On the thin iron Tsuba, flowers are engraved with Nunome zogan(inlay)
Fuchikashira :On the iron plate, some small flowers are painted by gold color.
