Signature : Shinano Daijo Fujiwara Tadakuni(first generation)

Shinto:Jyo saku ranking.Wazamono cutting test ranking:Inaba province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Shinano Daijo Fujiwara Tadakuni belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki:single silver habaki.
Blade length : 68.2 cm or 26.85 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 3.08 cm or 1.21 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Early Edo period Kanei era.
Shape : The blade is suriage nakago with whple signature.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach nice texture.
Hamon : Niedeki with thick nioikuchi gunome
and Cyoji midare mixed and in Ha, there are sunagashi, Kinsuji work.
Boshi is round shape with thick nioikuchi
and brush up hamon and turns back.

Special feature : The First Tadakuni was born in Yamashiro province
and called Hachidayu Yamamoto and learned
under the Dewa Daijo Kunimichi.
He got the tytle Shinano Daijyo and after that he moved to
Inaba province and continued until 7th generation.
He passed away Kanbun 6th.
This sword is typical first generation Tadakuni.
The hamon is active nice work.
