Tanto (Yoroi do-shi) in Koshirae

Signature : Mumei (Unsigned) Shinshinto

The blade was polished.
Habaki:Shakudo single habaki.
Blade length : 24.5 cm or 9.64 inches.
Sori : 0.1 cm or 0.03 inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi : 2.60 cm or 1.02 inches.
Kasane : 0.81 cm or 0.31 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is very thick healthy blade which is called Yoroido-shi.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare and round shaped boshi.

Special feature : The blade is very thick Yoroi do-shi style Tanto.
This kind of Yoroi do-shi was in fashion at late Muromachi period and also late Edo period.
This kind of Tanto was necessary to use at the war age.

Koshirae:
Saya : Black roiro saya.
Kozuka: On the shibuichi plate, a egret and river side plant.
