(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijo saku, Jojo saku Jo saku and regular saku).
This sword belongs to regular saku ranking.
The blade is polished.
Habaki : Copper single Habaki
Blade length : 49.6 cm or 19.5 inches.
Sori : 1.9 cm or 0.75 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the Hamachi : 2.93 cm or 1.15 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is Suriage (cut shortened from stem of the blade) with deep curve Shobu-zukuri style.
Jigane : Itame hada well grained with Jinie attach nice Jigane.
Hamon :Niedeki Suguha Hamon and round shape Boshi.
Special feature : This blade seems to be forged by Sue-Mihara school or by Takada school around late Muromachi period.
Signature may be fake but the blade is healthy and nice Jigane.
If the fake signature removed, the blade should pass NBTHK Hozon paper. (Fee for removing fake signature is ¥25,000- and take about additional two months for re-registration in Japan. Submitting to NBTHK Shinsa must be after re-registration.)
