This sword belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 44.4 cm or 17.48 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.22 cm or 1.27 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.90 cm or 1.14 inches.
Kasane : 0.73 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Edo Period Circa Kanbun
Shape : It is wide(3.22 cm) and thick healthy Wakizashi that resembles Nagamaki.
Jitetsu : Itame hada and mixture of Mokume hada. JInie is well attached.
Hamon: Nie Deki Gunome Midare with Ashi well attached. Boshi is Gunome midare irregular line.

Special feature : Bungo Jyu Fujiwara Noriyuki was active from Edo Kanbun period and has continued for several generation after him.
This piece is thick and strong looking work. There is no Kizu or flaw and it is wonderful work.
A signature "Kaneuji" is engraved on the back.
We do not know the details but it may mean that he has imitated Kaneuji work.
