Signature : Kiyokane.
Kotobuki Ginkon Kawagishi kouroku and Nobuko.

Explanation: Longevity, Silver wedding anniversary, Kawagishi kouroku and Nobuko at 23th October1973.

The blade was polished by high ranking polisher in Japan.
Blade length : 62.5 cm or 24.60 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.25 cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.51 cm or 0.98 inches.
Kasane : 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
weight: 645 grans.
Era : Gendai (modern times)period.
Shape : The blade is Kogarasumaru style.
Jitetsu :Koitame had and mokume had mixed well grained with jinie attach and Chikei work.
Hamon : Koniedeki suguha with kasha work.

Special feature : Kiyokane was working at Aichi prefecture.
He was working as a member of army ordered sword maker
and got the prize of the army sword technology encouragement.
He studied making sword tequnic under the Kurihara Akihide
who is the top ranking sword maker during war time.
His first generation Kanekiyo was a sword maker for Okazaki domain.
He was born at Meiji 40 March 25th.(1907)
He challenged to make Kogarasumaru which is very difficult sword
and many sword makers like Gassan Sadakazu and other sword makers tried to make this kind of Kogarasumaru.
This Kogarasumaru is very good work which is one of the best quality
sword in his life. The blade is order made sword so he tried to make the sword by his heart and soul.

Kogarasumaru: From Heian period, the blade was a treasure of Heike family and made by Amakuni.
The sword was presented from Tenno(royal family)for suppressing a rebellion.
From that oerid the sword was stored as a treasure of Taira family.
But at the battle of the Dannoura(1185)、Taira family was destroyed.
The blade was missing but at Tenmei 5th(1786)、the sword was found
by samurai Ise family stream of the Taira family .
He presented the sword to Tokugawa Syogun and after that The tokugawa Syogun handed over to the Ise family.
At meiji era, the Ise family sold this sword to earlship So in Tsushima.
At meiji 15th, earlship So presented to Meiji emperor.
Now the sword was kept at the National Institutes for Cultural Heritage.
Therefor many sword makers tried to make this unusual shape sword.

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saki, Jyojyo sakiuJyojyo saki and regular saki.)
