Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature:Mumei(Unsigned) attributed as Oomiya school.

The blade was polished
Habaki:Silver single habaki.
Blade length : 64 cm or 25.19 inches.
Sori : 0.9 cm or 0.35 inches.
Mekugi:3
Width at the hamachi : 2.72 cm or 1.07 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.85 cm or 0.72 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era :Late Nanbokucho period.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei (cut shortened) with small sori and longer kissaki.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada and mokume hada mixed with jinie attach and light utsuri appear.

Hamon : konie deki gunome midare and choji midare mixed with ashi, yo scatter in Ha.
Boshi is midarekomi style.

Special feature : Oomiya school started at late Kamakura period and continued to Nanbokucho period and early Muromachi period.
Sword maker, Sukemori,Morikage,Morishige,Morokage are well known sword makers at that period.
The Hamon is rather different from Kanemitsu who was working at the same age.
Oomiya school's hamon is wild feeling Gunome midare and choji midare mixed which convince soshu style. And also boshi is midarekomi style.
Even if the blade is suriage, the active hamon and a lot of works in Ha.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the square style iron plate, some plants are engraved open work. Shoami school Edo period.
Fuchikashira :On the shakudo plate, a dragon is engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black roiro saya.
Menuki : A shish dog is engraved by shakudo plate,
