This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold colored single Habaki.
Blade length : 73.4 cm or 28.9 inches.
Sori : 2.6 cm or 1.02 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.23 cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at Kissaki : 2.6 cm or 1.02 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo period Tenpo 3 year (AD1832).
Shape : Wide blade with slim Shinogi to make the blade very sharp.
Deep Sori Ookissaki dynamic shape Katana.
Jigane : Koitame-hada well grained with Jinie attach beautiful Hada.
Shingiji : Mixture of Mokume-hada and Itame-hada make Masanagare texture appear on surface.
Hamon : Nioideki Suguha from Habaki, then become Notare with Ko-gunome Midare Hamon. Ashi work well.
Special feature : Tenryushi Masataka is a grand son of Ozaki Suketaka but he didn't make Toranba blade but made many Choji-midare Hamon blade.
This unique blade is forged togethr with Yoshu Fujiwara Nagahiro.
Probably Masataka took the main part.
Matsuyama Fujiwara Nagahiro is a swords smith of Iyo area and he called himself 'Masamichi' at first and then changed his name to 'Toushiro'. He made Choji-midare blade like his Sensei Hisasane.
This blade has a dynamic shape nearly perfect condition.
