Signature : Bishu Osafune Morimitsu Saku(Sue Bizen)
Eisho 2 nen 10 gatsu hi (October 1559)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Bishu Osafune Morimitsu Saku belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold foiled double Habaki.
Blade length : 72.2 cm or 28.42 inches.
Sori : 2.6 cm or 1.02 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.16 cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.22 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Muromachi period around Eisho era.(1559)
Shape : Wide and thick blade with large Sori. Kissaki is long.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. Hadatatsu.
There are Chikei. It is clear Jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Suguha with many Ko-Ashi.
Boshi is Midarekomi Kaen Fu.

Special feature : The founder of Morimitsu is Kozori Bizen school.
That school started from Nanbokucho period to late Muromachi period.
This blade is also descended from the Morimitsu.
At a glance, the blade reminds of Bizen Kiyomitsu.
But the Jigane is finer and good quality.
