Signature : Bizen Koku Osafune Kiyomitsu Saku Kore
Made for Banshu Junin Oshio Ukyo

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijo saku, Jojo saku, Jo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jojo saku ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single Habaki
Blade length : 69.39 cm or 27.32 inches.
Sori : 2.60 cm or 1.27 inches.
Mekugi :
Width at the Hamachi : 3.02 cm or 1.19 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.96 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.82 cm or 0.32 inches.
Era : Later Muromachi period Tenmon 17th (1532~1555)
Shape : Ubu wide thick blade with Mitsu Mune style long Kissaki, Bohi engraved on both sides of the blade.
Jigane : Ko-Itame-hada well grained with Jinie attach. Utsuri appear on the surface.
Hamon : Konie-deki Suguha with Ko-Gunome maxed. Ashi, Yo, Kinsuji work well in Ha.

Special feature : Bizen Koku Osafune Kiyomitsu school were active during Muromachi period.
This blade was forged by Gorozaemon. There are no secular name engraved in signature, but judged by NBTHK from the wellness of Jigane.
At same ages, Sonuemon, Yozaemon made many great swords.
And this sword is Tame-Uchi (order made) for Samurai with the name ‘Oshio Ukyo’ at Harima province.
