The blade needs polish
Habaki: Gold single foiled habaki
Blade length : 71.0 cm or 27.96inches.
Sori : 0.8cm or 0.32inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.95cm or 1.16inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.78cm or 0.7inches.
Kasane : 0.64cm or 0.25inches.
Era : Early Edo period.
Shape : It is ordinary width and thickness.
There is slight curve and long end.
It is typical Kanei period shape katana.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attached.
There is utsuri seen.
Hamon : Nie base kogunome with sharp
and big gunome mix following.Boushi is round ended.

Special feature : Houshu Takada jyuu Fujiwara Munekage is a
group of sword smith that started from late Muromachi period
and lasted until Edo period.
This piece is from Shoho period of early Edo period(1645-1648).
This sword has utsuri appearing. It is in fine condition

Koshirae : Army Gunto Koshirae. It is in strikingly good condition.

Historical background: Shoho period started from 1645 and ended at 1648.
It is a period when Tokugawa Iemitsu, third Edo shogun was ruling the country.
