Katana in Koshirae.

Signature : Miike Jyu Yasumitsu Saku.
Heisei 2 Nen 7 Gatsuhi.(July 1990)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword Miike Jyu Yasumitsu belongs to
Jyo-Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
habaki:gold color single habaki.
Blade length :  72.7 cm or 28.62 inches.
Sori :1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi :3.1cm or 1.22 inches.
Sakihaba: 2.3cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane : 0.69cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : modern times.
Shape :The blade is rather wide and thick suitable sori nice looking shape.
Hamon:niedeki gunome midair with soft asi and nice nioikuchi hamon.
Boshi is midarekomi with kinsuji and togari boshi style.

Special feature :The real name of the Miike Jyu Yasumitsu is Komiya Yasuki and born at
Oomuta city in Fukuoka prefecture syowa 31st.
His father is quite well known wordsmith in Syowa period Komiya Siro Lunimitsu.
oldest son is Komiya Kunitada, second son is Yasumitsu and 3rd son os Kunimitsu.
all of family member are working as swordsmith.
This sword is weight is 730 grams and suitable for Kansyo and Iai practice sword.
The sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking if apply to shinshinto blade in Edo period.
We strongly recommend this sword for you.
I think from the jigane and hamon, the tamahagane was made by his own factory.
