Blade length : 68.48 cm or 26.96 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.

Width at the Kissaki : 1.73 cm or 0.68 inches.
Kasane : 0.57 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Early to middle Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is Oosuriage mumei (cut shortened) with deep sori with long kissaki nice
looking shape.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with masanagare and chikei work blackish strong jigane.
Hamon : Koniedeki suguha with thick nioikuchi uremia gokoro and ashi, Yo scatter.

Special feature : The founder of Naminohira School was Masakuni who
moved from Kyoto to Satsuma province in the10th century. His works
rarely survives so Yukiyasu is thought as the substantial founder. The
school continuously made swords there until the last Edo period. The
56th of this school was Iwami (No) Kami Yasuharu who reinforced the
school in the Shin-to period. His grandson Yamato (No) Kami Yasuyuki
learned under Izumi (No) Kami Masafusa.
The name Naminohira has synonymous meaning with the glassy
surface of the water so water transporters and navy men highly
appreciate the sword of this school.
Even if the blade has Shimi, the blade itself good condition and good enough for appreciation.
