Katana: Mumei (Ooishi Sa)

The blade was polished
Habaki:silver single habaki.
Blade length : 66.51 cm or 26.18 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi :3.12 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.14 cm or 0.84 inches.
Kasane : 0.67cm or 0.26 inches.
Era :Late Nanbokucyo period Shitoku era.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei(unsigned)
with nice sori and longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Itame had well grained and massage mixed
with jinie attach and some small chikei work.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair with many sunagashi and also small kinsuji scatter.

Special feature : Ooishi Sa is a stream of the Samoji school.
At Nanbokucyo period, Sa school moved to Nagato province, Hizen
and Chikugo province and called Choshu Sa. Hirado sa, and Ooishi Sa.
This blade is Ooishi Sa moved to Chikugo province at Shitoku era(1384) by Nagaie.
Even though the blade is oosuriage mumei but the blade is special feature of the Ooishi Sa.
The blade is nice active hamon.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the round shape iron Tsuba, flower designe are painted by gold color.
Fuchikashira :On the iron plate, some design is painted by gold color.
Saya : black ishimeji saya.
Menuki : some flower design is making by brass plate,
