Signature: Mumei(unsigned) attributed as Shinshinto sword (Katukuni)

The blade was polished.

Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.62 cm or 1.03 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.83 cm or 0.72 inches.
Kasane : 0.59 cm or 0.23 inches.
Weight of only blade: 605grams
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade looks suriage and machiokuri sword(cut shortened)
Jitetsu :Itame had well grained with jinie attach and Chikei work beautiful texture.
Hamon : Niedeki round shape gunome midare hamon. Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : At a glance, the blade looks Ubu nakago
but checked the hamon carefully, I can see the Hamon inside of the nakago.
so the blade must be suriage machiokurri (cut shortened) sword.
I think from the jigane and hamon, the blade might be Katsukuni.
The blade is well balanced nice Jigane and hamon and also good condition.
It is suitable for Iai practice and Kansyo(appreciate) sword.

Tsuba :On the mokko style iron stub, engraved some design like Nanban school.
Fuchikashira :a dragon is engraved by syakudo plate.
Saya : Kawarinuri saya Aogai chirashi, pine needle shape by using malachite ore.
Menuki : On the syakudo plate, a good of Hotei is engraved with gloss color.
