Signature : Musashi Jyu Kuniie Saku. Mukansa(one of the top ranking sword makers in Japan)
Heisei Gannen 1 Gatsuhi.(1989、January)
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki : Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 73.8 cm or 29.06 inches.
Sori : 2.86 cm or 1.12 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.46 cm or 1.36 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.54 cm or 1 inches.
Kasane : 0.86 cm or 0.34 inches.
Weight of only blade : 900 grams.
Era : Gendair period.(modern times)
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with deep sori nice looking gorgeous shape.
On the omote side, Jyumonji yari on the top and Hata(banner) is engraved.
On the revers side, a dragon is swallowing the Ken and Dokko are engraved.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful texture.
Hamon : Nioideki gunome Cyoji midare and Jyuka cyoji midare mixed with ash.
Boshi is midarekomi style.
Special feature : According to the inscription on the tang,
Yoshihara Soji known as Kuniie the Second forged this tachi modeled on the Fukuoka-Ichimonji School.
He was born in 1945 as a grandson of the First Kuniie. Soji and his younger brother Yoshihito studied Bizen-den eagerly.
Soji was approved as a Mukansa-tosho in 1982, only two years later forging this tachi.
Yoshihara brothers live at Katsushika-ku in Tokyo will be recorded in the history of modern Japanese sword.
He got the Bunkacyo Cyokan prize, (chief of the Cultural Affairs Agency) Mainichi shinbone press prize,
Syoreisyo （prize,exhortation）and became a Mukansa sword maker(one of the top ranking wordsmith).
He made treasure sword for Ise Jingu(very famous shrine) also made sword at Dallas Texas in USA.
He also became an instructor of leader of cultivator of Tatara(making Japanese iron which is called Tamaahagane).
He became a chirman of the all nippon touslekai(sword makers).
This sword is typical Ichimonji utsushi cyoji midare hamon and nice engraving on the sword.
The sword is one of high caliber top ranking sword.
