Bunka 3 Nen 8 Gatsu hi (August 1806)

Shinshinto Jyo saku ranking:Musashi province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Tairyu Sai Sokan belongs to Jyo-jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Blade length : 73.03 cm or 28.75 inches.
Sori : 2.25 cm or 0.88 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.28 cm or 1.29 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.31 cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane : 0.74 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Late Edo period Bunka 3rd.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick longer blade with ookissaki style nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well graied with jinie attach beautiful muji stylwe.
Hamon : Konie deki kogunome midare like Koto Bizen Yoshii style.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : Tairyu-sai Munehiro(Sokan) was born at Hurukawa
province near the river Abukuma.
He moved to Edo Fukagawa Hakozaki city and studied from Koyama Munetsuggu.
Therefore his first stage of the blade is very close to his master.
After that he changed his own stype Bizen Yoshii style.
Probably he understood that his style of the Hamon will be well cut sword.
After that he made swords as a purpose cut well sword.
So his most of the blade is Kogunome midare with a lot of Ashi.
Some swords has Utsuri appear.
This sword is long ,
wide and thick gorgeous style sword without Kizu and flow very healthy blade.
