This Kawachi Kami Minamoto Motoyuki belongs to Jyojyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 38.7 cm or 15.23 inches.
Sori : 3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Mekugi : 4
Width at the hamachi : 2.70 cm or 1.06 inches.
Kasane : 0.70 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period, around Kanbun era(1704-1710).
Shape : Rather large Naginata. nice shape.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with with Jinie attach. The Jigane is beautiful.
Hamon : Suguha hamon from Hamachi and then Hitatsura Midare Hamon.
Boshi is round shape. Also Hitatsura is in Shinogi part.
This is masterpiece of Matsuba Motoyuki.

Special feature : Takada Kawachi Kami Minamoto Motoyuki moved from Takada to Karatsu.
And then he moved to Edo Tobu. He was given the name of "Motoyuki" by Honami familly.
After that, he studied under the Tsunahiro. He learned acquired the skill of Shoshu-Den.
And he returned to his homeland Karatsu. His generation continued until 4th generation.
This blade was made during he studied under the Soshu Tsunahiro.
This blade is very nice.
