Having Byakugo-so face style with vermilion color lacquered.
Sou-men is a face protecter with a scary design. This was for intimidation.
There is a Hakogaki ‘Higo Han first generation Hosokawa Tadatoshi Koyo Kanei 9 Uduki’ (Hogo domain’s first Daimyo Hosokawa Tadatoshi used this. March 1632)
