Signature: Ichihara Nagamitsu
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Silver single habaki.
Blade length : 66.8 cm or 26.29 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.35 cm or 1.31 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.74 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Showa Gendai period.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick healthy blade.
Jitetsu : Item hada well grained with masanagare with jinie attach.
Hamon : Kogunome midare with a lot of ashi scatter in Ha.

Special feature : Nagamitsu was working at the Okayama prison as a director.
He planed to make Japanese swords by using a lot of prisoners and made many swords.
He also joined as swordsmith and made many swords with prisoners.
The signature is mentioned as Nagamitsu, Ichihaara Ichiryushi Nagamitsu,
Karasuyama jeu Nagamitsu and other signature.
Generally speaking Nagamitsu and Emura are the same person
but I think Emura was a second director of the Okayama prison.
because the sword is a little difference between Nagamitsu and Emura.
The sword which was made by Emura is rather sensitive and good work than Nagamitsu.
Anyway Nagamitsu was a member of the army sword technical encourage meeting.
Also he got the prize of this meeting.
