Tanto : Fujiwara Tsuguyuki (Orikaeshi Mei)

Tanto in Koshirae. (Guarantte : NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature : Fujiwara Tsuguyuki (Orikaeshi Mei)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku, Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword Fujiwara Shigeyuki (Orikaeshi Mei) belongs to regular saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki :silver single habaki.
Blade length : 28.8 cm or 11.33 inches.
Sori : 0.4 cm or 0.15 inches.
Mekugi : 4
Width at the hamachi : 2.77 cm or 1.09 inches.
Kasane : 0.55 cm or 0.21 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is Orikaeshi Mei (the signature part was folded turns back).
Jigane : Itame hada masame nagare with jinie attach well grained texture.
Hamon : Konie deki small gunome midare with ashi, Yo scatter in Ha.
Boshi is round shape with hakikake style and long Kaeri hamon.

Special feature : On the book, Tuguyuki was working at Bungo probince and another swordsmith was working at Echizen province.
At this time it is hard to say which sword smith but probably
from the JIgane and Hamon, the sword might belong Takada province.

Koshirae : Silver mouting.
Saya : Black color and upper part of saya and tsuka is black kizami style saya.
Tsuba : On the silver plate, waves are engraved with signature.
It is difficult to read oerfectly. Keio 3?? Nori Tetsu?
Menuki : On the silver part, waves are engraved.
