Tanto in Koshirae

Signature : The signature is written as Kaneyoshi

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Silver single foiled habaki
Blade length : 26.0 cm or 10.23 inches.
Sori : No Sori
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.60 cm or 1.02 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick healthy nice looking shape with bo-hi on both sides.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
It is beautiful and soft jigane.
There is fog like white utsuri appearing.
Hamon : Nie structure in tight suguha and white utsuri effect seen on the surface.

Special feature : There are some Kaneyoshi school sword smith existed from early to late Muromachi period.
The maker of this sword seem to be from Bingo province but we do not gurantee the signature
although it is hard to tell if it is actually a gimei blade or not.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : On oval shape iron tsuba, there is some kind of texture engraved both at the rim edge and the ji.
Fuchikashira : Fuchi: Shakudo plate with dragon engraved.Kashira : Shakudo plate with flower design engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : Black roiro saya
Menuki : A theme of a mouse trying to carry straw rice bag.
