Special feature:On iron plate tsuba, a tanuki bear Bunbuku Chagama, a Japanese folk tale, is engraved and inlayed with brass. Bunbuku Chagama means “Happiness foaming like a tea kettle. “ The story is about a tanuki bear that half transformed into tea kettle bringing fortune to the man who saved its life.
It is small and charming tsuba.
