The blade was polished.
Blade length : 44.3 cm or 17.44 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.82 cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.17 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo Kanbun period.
Shape : It is regular width and thickness. There is some Sori. Kissaki is long end.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame hada well grained with JInie attahced.
Hamon : Nie Deki Suguha. It is not clear.

Special feature : The signature on this Katana seems genuine but the Hamon line is unclear.
It is most likely burned out by fire.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron tsuba with openwork.
Fuchikashira : Brass plate with dragon design engraved
Saya : Black Saya.
Menuki : Dragon design with brass engraved.
