This Bishu Osafune Kanemitsu belongs to Jyo jyo saku ranking

Blade length : 35.7 cm or 14.05 inches.
Sori : 0.3 cm or 0.11 inches.

Width at the hamachi :2.73cm or 1.07 inches.
Kasane : 0.39cm or 0.15 inches.
Era : Nanbokucyo period Jyowa era.1345-1349
Shape : The blade is rather wide and Mitumune style and longer sunnobi tanto
both sides of the blade has Bo-Hi is engraved.
The shape is typical Nanbokucyo style.
Jitetsu :Koitame had and komokume had mixed with thick nioikuchi and chikei worek.
Also clear Utsuri appear on the ji.
Hamon : Konie deki suguha and noter with thick nioikuchi and Togari bo-shi.

Special feature : Bishu Osafune Kanemitsu is legitimate son of the great Kagemitsu and called Magozaemon.
At first he learned from his father and made sword like Kagemitsu style kataochi gunome and also Bizen style jigane
but he studied Sosyu den style.
He mixed up Bizen den and Sosyu den which is called Soden bizen style by his own idea.
The jigane is different from Bizen school item had and mokume had mixed
with jinie attach thickly and chikei appear and also clear Utsuri appear and visible to see the texture well.
Hamon also different from Bizen school which is mixed with sosyu jigane and bizen jigane.
The hamon is rather deep nioikuchi and sunagashi and also kinsuji work. Boshi is Togari ba.
This blade is the quality wonderful jigane and also clear Utsuri appear.
Kanemitsu is one of the 14 the best cut well swords for instance, Namioyogi Kanemitsu
and Ho kiri kanemitsu are quite well known swords.
Until now 13 Kanemitsu swords are designated as important cultural assets.
It is a few swords with signature and uramei swords.
I think The Kanemitsu reigns over the highest rank among Koto sword ranking.
It is quite few chance to obtain this kind of sword.
