This Izumi Daijyo Fujiwara Yoshitake belongs to Jyo-jyo saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper double habaki.
Blade length : 48.6 cm or 19.13 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.28 cm or 1.29 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.50 cm or 0.98 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Edo period Tenna pronounce.
Shape : The blade is wide(3,28cm) and thick healthy sword.
Jigane : Itame had well grained with jinie attach with blackish jigane like zanguri (typical Kunihiro style jigane) nice texture.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha from the Hamachi area and then gunome midair with ash work.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : First generation Izumi Daijyo Fujiwara Yoshitake was a student of the
Horikawa Kunitake who was a student of the Kunihiro moved to Edo from Kyoto.
This blade is wide and healthy heavily boned nice sword.
Jigane is succeeded Kunihiro school and also Oogunome midair hamon like Doranba style.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : On the round shape iron Tsuba, flower design is engraved.
Fuchikashira : On the syakudo nanako plate, birds and flowers are engraved with gold color.
Saya : Kizami saya
Menuki : Flower design is engraved by syakudo palte with gold color.
Kozuka : On the syakudo nanako plate, a dragon is engraved with gold color.
