The blade was polished at last year.
At this year, we did new Tsumaki of deer skin with Seki province,
Mr.Toyama.(Mumaknsa : one of the top ranking Tsumaki in Japan)
Blade length : 68.0 cm or 26.77 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.11 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo Keian period .
Shape : It is ordinary width and thickness but has rather deep sori.
There is bohi engraved. It is nice shape katana.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : It is suguha from the hamachi. It gradually becomes gunome midare irregular line.
The ashi is soy hand the habuchi is soft. Boushi is round and smooth turn back. It is elegant pieces.
Special feature : Dai Hoshi Hokkyo Rai Eisen Izumi no Kami Fujiwara Rai Kinmichi is the younger brother
of first generation Iga no kami Kinmichi. He has engraved the signature as Ooboshi Hokkyou Rai Eisen.
Hokkyo is the third of the priest rank just under Hougan.
This piece is ranked in as Shinto Jyosaku blade. It is in very good condition.
Koshirae : It is fine koshirae that is wrap in lion design.
Tsuba :Round shape shakudou nanakoji tsuba. The lion and the tree peony is engraved and inlayed with gold.
Fuchikashira : It is copper ishimeji (rock texture) plate. Lion design engraved.
Saya : Black Roiro saya
Menuki : Shakudou base with lion design engraved and inlayed with gold.
