Daisho : Hizen Kuni Mutsu Kami Tadayoshi

Daisho in Shirasaya, with Koshirae

Katana :
Signature : Hizen Kuni Mutsu Kami Fujiwara Tadayoshi (NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Token)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku, Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo-Jyo saku ranking.

Sayagaki was done by Tanobe sensei.
Explanation : Hizen Kuni Mutsu Kami Fujiwara Tadayoshi 10 Kanji characters.
The blade was made after from Mutsu Daijyo to Mutsu Kami at Kanbun first year autumn.
Jigane and Hamon is very clear wonderful technique Jigane and Hamon.
High ranking good sword. The length of the blade is 2 syaku 3 sun 5 bu.

Shinto : Jyo-Jyo saku ranking : Saijyo Oowazamono cutting test ranking : Hizen province.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki : Gold foiled single Habaki.
Blade length : 71.21 cm or 28.03 inches.
Sori : 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.07cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.83 cm or 0.32 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with small sori like Kanbun style.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach and chikei work which is called Hizen Konuka hada.
Hamon : Niedeki middle suguha with ashi and Yo work.
Boshi is round shape with thick nioikuchi.

Special feature : Mutsu Kami Fujiwara Tadayoshi was a legitimate son of the Tadahiro who was called Shinzaburo 3rd generation Tadayoshi.
At Manji 3rd year November He got the tytle of the Mutsu Daijyo and at Kanbun first year August, he changed his tytle to Mutsu Kami.
He passed away Teikyo 3rd February.
He made many swords for 2nd generation Tadahiro so he left a few swords even though his high ranking sword maker.
Many sword collectors wants to buy his swords but very hard to buy because we can find small amount of swords for sale.
This sword is quite well wonderful Jigane and also nice Hamon.

Koshirae :
Saya : Black roiro saya.
Tsuba : On the round shape syakudo plate, family crests and plant leaves are engraved.
The rim is covered by gold color.
Menuki : Family crest is engraved by syakudo plate.
Fuchikashira : On the syakudo plate, family crest and plant leaaves are engraved.

This sword belongs to Jyo Saku ranking.

Shinto : Jyo-Jyo saku ranking : Saijyo Oowazamono cutting test ranking : Hizen province.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 48.4 cm or 19.05 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.85 cm or 1.12 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.08 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.78 cm or 0.30 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is about 3cm Suriage machiokuri (cut shortened).
The blade is rather deep sori and longer lissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful Hizen Konukahada nicxe Jigane.
Hamon : Niede ki suguha with koashi work, Boshi is round shape.
