Signature : Aizu Shi Sumi motooki Nyudo Saku

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 70.6 cm or 27.79 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.26 cm or 1.28 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.51 cm or 0.98 inches.
Kasane : 0.82 cm or 0.32 inches.
Era : Late Edo period.
Shape : The blade is very wide(3.26cm) and thick and also long ookissaki style gorgeous sword.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attach chikei work.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair mixed with sunagashi and kinsuji work.
Boshi : Midarekomi gunome midare midarekomi style.

Special feature : Motooki was born at Kyoto Sumikura family and a samurai retainer of Aizu Matsudaira Daimyo family.
After his father's death, he succeeded hather's family.
At Ansei 6th, he studied from Ishido Korekazu and at Keio second July he got the title of Yamato Kami and changed Hidekuni.
He passed away Meiji 24th December age 80.
His sword is well known at Aizu province.
