This Azabe Tameie belongs to regular ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 71.5cm or 28.15inches.
Sori : 0.6cm or 0.24inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.92cm or 1.15inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.82cm or 0.72inches.
Kasane : 0.54cm or 0.21inches.
Era : Edo period circa Kanbun.
Shape : It is regular width and thickness. Kanbun shinto shape katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
It is clear and bright jigane.
Hamon : Nie deki with much ups and downs.
Gunome midare with round boshi.

Special feature : This sword is made by the second generation of Tameie.
He was called Kouno Kotaro and has made similar works as the first generation.
This katana has much length so we recommend to use for both appreciation and sporting.
