Heisei 17 nen 2 gatsu hi
Reference : Heisei 17 nen (2005) won Takamatsumiya award.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Blade length : 74.2 cm or 29.21 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.26 cm or 1.28 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.32 cm or 0.91 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Gendai(modern times) period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attach beautiful texture.
Hamon : Niedeki Doranba hamon with thick nioikuchi.

Special feature : Chikushu Ju Sou Masachika is a son of the So Tsutomu and got the prize of Takamatu no miya.
The picture of the sword was exhibited in front of the gate of NBTHK sword museum.
The sword is very similar with Sukehiro who was a top ranking shinto period.
This Doranba hamon with very thick nioikuchi is called Yuko no Muragie which looks like much snow piled up on the leaves and melted gradually.
This kind of appearance is called Yuki No Muragie.
Sukehiro and Inoue shinkai both quite well like this hamon.
This sword obtained the Takamatsu no miya prize with a copy of the certificate of merit.
