Signature : Chikuzen no Kami Kunitsugu

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper habaki
Blade length : 65.8 cm or 25.90 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.28 cm or 1.29 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.39 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.52 cm or 0.21 inches.
Era : Modern period.
Shape : It is wide and thick firm looking katana. There is slight curve(sori).
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with plain hada(muji hada). Jinie is attached.
Hamon : Nie base gunome midair, boushi is brush up style.

Special feature : The jigane and hamon we could identify this sword as Chikuzen no kami Kunitsugu from Tasho to Showa period.
Since it is not written in any sword directories, it could be categorized as meikan mo-re(literary filtered out of the directory).
The jigane is plain hada steel.
The temper line is gunome irregular line style.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron tsuba. Arabesque pattern inlayed with shinchu(zinc and copper alloy).
Open work is done like musashi tsuba.
Fuchikashira : Shinchu base with wave and splash design engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : It is uniquely painted saya(kawari nuri saya).
Menuki : Copper base with dragon design engraved.
