Katana: Mumei(Harima Daijyo Shigetaka) 2nd generation.

Katana in Shirasya with Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature: Mumei(Harima Daijyo Shigetaka) 2nd generation.

shinto:Chujyo saku : Echizen province.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 71.9 cm or 28.30 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi: 2
Width at the hamachi :2.81 cm or 1.10 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.87 cm or 0.73 inches.
Kasane : 0.76 cm or 0.29 inches.
Weight of only blade: around755 grams.
Era : Edo period Kanei era.
Shape : The blade is suriage mumei(cut shortened unsigned blade)
with small sori and longer kissaki which looks like Kanei era.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon :Niedeki round shape gunome midair up and down with thick nie.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : First generation Harima daijyo Shige taka's
hamon is very similar with first generation Yasutugu.
I think this sword is second generation Shigetaka.
The blade is thick nioikuch gunome midair.
The sword was polished and suitable for Kaisyo (appreciation) and hog ranking Iai practice.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :On the oval shape iron stub, some insect which is called Mukade in Japanese is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira :On the shibuichi plate, some flowers are engraved with gold color.
Saya : On the black saya, brown red stripe color painted.
Menuki : On the syakudo plate, aoi flowers are engraved with Tokin(inlay).
Kojiri:Kurikata:On the shibuichi plate, some flowers are engraved with gold color.
