Katana: Ecchu Kami Fujiwara Kanekuni

Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae.
Signature : Ecchu Kami Fujiwara Kanekuni
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijo saku, Jojo saku, Jo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jojo saku ranking.

Shinto : Chusaku : Yamato

The blade is polished.
Habaki : Gold colored single Habaki.
Blade length : 70.0 cm or 2.76 inches.
Sori : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Mekugi : 2 
Width at the Hamachi : 3.06 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.02 cm or 0.80 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.30 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era. (1661~1672)
Shape : Wide and thick blade with balanced curve, long Kissaki.
Jigane : Koitame-hada well grained with Jinie attached.
Hamon : Ko-Niedeki Gunome-Midare with Choji Midare mixed bright Hamon. Boshi turns round shape.

Special feature : Ecchuu Kami Fujiwara Kanekuni's secular name is 'Tsutsui Kyuzaemon'. He is a student of Osaka Tanba Kami school and the father of Tsutsui Norimitsu.
His blades are having tight Nioikuchi Gonome-Midare Choji-Midare mixed Hamon.
The blade is very healthy with less Kizu or flaw.

Saya : Black Ishimeji Saya.
Tsuba : Sheaf of rice engraved on iron plate.
Menuki : Dragon engraved on brass plate.
Fuchi Kashira : Egrets carved on iron plate with gold color.
