Signature : Echizen Koku Shimosaka Masatsugu

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword belongs to Jyojyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :silver single habaki.
Blade length : 72.2 cm or 28.42 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.08 cm or 1.21 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.84 cm or 0.75 inches.
Kasane : 0.71 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period, Kanbun era.
Shape : Regular size Kanbun Shinto style Katana.
Jitetsu: Ko-Itame Hada and Mokume Hada mix with Jinie attach. The Jigane is beautiful.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with many Ashi.
Especially the Monouch part, there are active Gunome Midare.
Boshi is Hakikake around shape.

Special feature : Echizen Koku Shimosaka Masatsugu is not mentioned in any book.
His datails are unknown. But this signature is good.
We guess that he assisted famous swodsmith.
From this blade, it looks like Harima Kami Shigetaka and Echizen Hirotaka.
