Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : It is rather wide and thick with some machokuri . There are rather thick sori. Nice shape katana.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attached. The hadame is clearly seen.
Hamon : Konie base, Kogunome, gunome with some tobiyaki seen.
There some some active sunagashi and kinsuji seen . Boshi is mixed ended.

Special feature : Izumi no kami Fujiwara Kanesada is the highest ranking sword of Mino katana along with Kanemoto. The mei texture is similar to that of Kanesada. However, the blade is rather different style to that of Kanesada so we do not think that this is genuine. Despite this fact, this katana has nice itame hada with jinie attached. There are beautiful jitetsu. From the hamon texture, it is observed that this is made from late Muromachi period to Keicho period. We recommend this good quality no kizu and flaw katana. If we removed the signature the blade will pass hozon.
