Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae (NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Paper) (NTHK estimation paper).

Signature: (Kikumon)Oumi no Kami Minamoto Hisamichi. first generation.
Genroku 3Nen 7gatsu tanabata hi.
Sayagaki : Oumi no Kami Minamoto Hisamichi.
Genroku 3Nen 7gatsu tanabata hi.
Shinto : Jyo-saku ranking: Yamashiro province.

The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki:Silver single habaki.
Blade length : 54.8 cm or 21.57 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.12 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.05 cm or 0.8 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo period Genroku era.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful texture.
Hamon : From the hamachi, suguha and then gunome midare with thick nioikuchi.
In Hamon, there are many ashi sunagashi and also kinsuji work.
The blade is bright hamon.Boshi is round shaped with wide Nioikuchi.

Special feature : Oumi no Kami Hisamichi was called Hori Rokurobei and one of the Mishina school Kyoto province.
He got the title Oumi Daijyo first time and then changed to Oumi no Kami.
He lived until 85 years of age.
Generally his subject has Yakidashi and then gunome midare. This sword is also as same as general subject.
I think this sword will be one of the top quality sword.
It is very few swords like this Uramei (nengo). The blade is very nice Jigane and hamon without Kizu and flow.

Koshirae : Dragonfly issaku koshirae (all matching Koshirae).
Tsuba :On the iron Tsuba, on the front, a dragonfly and on the back a butterfly are engraved.
Fuchikashira :On the shakudo nanako plate, dragonflyes are engraved.
Saya : Black roiro saya.
Menuki : A dragonfly is engraved by shakudo plate.
Kozuka : On the shakudo nanako plate, three dragofly are engraved.
Kogatana : The signature is mentioned as Edo Jyu Kanenaga.
