The blade was polished.
Blade length : 69cm or 27.16 inches.
Sori : 1.75cm or 0.68 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi :3.27 cm or 1.28 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.31 cm or 0.90 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Hoei 2 Nen (1705)
Shape : It is wide and thick magnificent looking katana.
Boshi is long end and it is nice shape katana.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie base with sakasa choji hamon. From the hamachi and to kissaki there is similar gunome hamon.
Boshi is round end brush up style.
Special feature : He originally lived in Kikuchi, Higo and was a student of Inoue Shinkai.
Later on, he has become the retained sword smith of Naito family.
This sword is ubu, original tang with rare signature engraved as Hoei Second Year August.
The jigane is in fine condition. The hamon is imitating Aoe .
It is in strikingly good condition.
