Signature : Kanemoto cut shortened by Kuniyoshi.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 67.2 cm or 26.45 inches.
Sori : 1.1 cm or 0.43 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.01cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.26 cm or 0.88 inches.
Kasane : 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period. around Kanbun era.
Shape : Wide and thick balde with shallow Sori.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie and Chikei.
Hadamono blade(visible to see the texture well).
Hamon : Nioi Deki, Choji Midare, Sanbonsugi style.
Hamon is very active temper line with many Ashi.
Boshi is Midarekomi round shape style.
Special feature : This blade was Suriage by Kuniyoshi.
This is very rare piece. The Hamon looks Darani Katsukuni.
NBTHK Hozon paper judged that Kamemoto’s blade was
Suriage by Kuniyoshi. This Kanemoto was made around Shinto era.
This kind of sword is said cut well sword.
