Katana : Kanenobu (Shiga seki)

Katana in Shirasaya, with Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature : Kanenobu (Shiga seki)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Kanenobu belongs to Jyo saku ranking.

Sue koto : Jyo saku : Owari province.
The blade was polished
Habaki : Gold color and syakudo double habaki.
Blade length : 70.5 cm or 27.75 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.01cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.22 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Middle to late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is regular size width, thickness with deep sori and also longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attach.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha and notare and also gunome midare mixed.
Boshi is notare kaen style wild feeling nice sword.

Special feature : Kanenobu (shiga seki) is Mino school and muved to Shiga Owari province.
So the blade is called Shiga seki. The sword is very similar with Shizu style so-syu den.
Itame hada well grained and visible to see the texture.
It looks Yamato shizu style sword.
It is quite rare zaimei (with signature)signature.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Tachi tsuba which was made by silver plate.
Fuchikashira : Silver plate with plant design engraved.
Saya : Tachi koshirae Late Edo period.
Menuki : A dragon is engraved by silver plate.
