Shinto:Jyosaku ranking: Settsu province.

The blade was polished.
Habaki :Gold and silver foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 66.21 cm or 26.06 inches.
Sori : 1.23 cm or 0.48 inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi : 2.82 cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.77 cm or 0.69 inches.
Kasane : 0.61 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is regular size and rather short katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful Oosaka jigane.
Hamon :From the Hamachi area, Niedeki suguha and then gunome midare choji midare and also Kobushi choji midare mixed.
Boshi round shape typical Kunisuke.

Special feature : 2nd generation Kunisuke was called Kobayashi Hachiro uemon who was second generation between 1st and third generation so he was called nakakawachi (middle between first and third generation) He was making Kobushi choji midare hamon (the shape looks like clenched hand) His brothers Musashi Kami Kunitsugu, Higo Kami Kuniyasu and Ise Kami Kuniteru are also famous sword makers. and his students are also well known sword makers.
Higo Kami Kuniyasu made quite same Kobushi choji midare like Kunisuke. Ise Kami Kuniteru was making quitter different style Hamon like Doranba soshu style.
Probably 2nd Kunisuke was making a lot of swords during his life.
He passed away 9th of March Genroku 11th.
This blade is typical Kobushi choji midare hamon and engraved a dragon and Dokko,Suken.

- Atama wari:Ono Jirouemon Kiru kao
Cutting tester is Ono Jirouemon is quite rare and precious.
Also generally speaking Tameshigiri (cutting test) was done by used body after the cutting convict on death row but in this case, cutting tester used head as cutting test which is precious and rarity item.

Koshirae : Very elegant Higo style Koshirae (mounting).
Tsuba :On the round shaped nice copper plate, a family crest is engraved open work and Amida yasuri was engraved on the Ji.
Fuchi Kashira :On the copper plate, a crab is walking around at ebb tide.
Saya : Red brown color.
Menuki : The shape of big crab is engraved by copper plate nice color.
Kojiri:Seme gane mono:On the brass plate, some waves are engraved.
Kurikata:Wallnut is engraved by coper plate.
Kozuka : On the shakudo nanako plate, a heron is stopping on the tree and moon which came out from the cloud.
Kogatama : Shizu saburou Kaneuji.
