This Oumi Kami Minamoto Hisamichi belongs to Jo-Jyo saku ranking.

Shinto : Jyo saku ranking : Yamashiro province.
The blade was polished by very good polisher.
Habaki : Gold foiled single habaki.

Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 3.12 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.11 cm or 0.83 inches.
Kasane : 0.73 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Edo oeriod Enpo era. 1673-1681
Shape : The blade is long and wide and thick with nice sori and longer kissaki gorgeous style.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach beautiful nice Jigane.
Hamon : Niedeki with thick nioikuch suguha hamon from the hamachi,
and then thick gunome midare with fat ashi and sunagashi and also long Kinsuji work.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : Oumi Kami Minamoto Hisamichi first generation is called Hori Rokurobei.
He is well known Mishina family as kyo 5 Ban Kaji.
First he was named Oumi Daijyo at Kanbun first year and then he got the name of Oumi Kami.
He passed away Syotoku first year age 85 long life.
His subjects made mainly Kanbun to Genroku era.
This sword is long and very healthy fantastic sword with thick nioikuchi gunome midare and Kinsuji hamon.
The sword is healthy without Kizu and lose hada.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : On the round shape iron tsuba, Matu tree and moon are enfgraved with a hawk which is going to fly from the tree.
Fuchikashira : On the iron plate, aoi leaves are engraved.
Saya : Red color saya.
Menuki : On the syakudo plate, some plant is engraved.
