Signature :(Kikumon) Oomi no kami Minamoto Hisamichi

Shinto: Jyosaku: Yamashiro
The blade was high quality polish.
Blade length : 61cm or 24.03inches.
Sori : 1.2cm or 0.47inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.23cm or 1.27inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.33cm or 0.92inches.
Kasane : 0.76cm or 0.3inches.
Era : Edo period.
Shape : It is wide, 3.23cm width it is firm shape. Healthy blade.
Jitetsu : Fine wood texture Koitame hada with  mixture of mokume wood burl texture. Jinie well attached . It is clear and nice jigane.
Hamon : Notare gunome mixture with many activities in the cutting edge such as sunagashi brushed sand like texture and kinsuji white line texture.The hamon actually goes to shingoji.

Special feature : Oumi no kami MInamoto Hisamichi was called Hori Rokuroubee and was a student of second generation Iganokami Kinmichi. He had three names. He worked as one of 5 Kyoto kaji. After receiving the name of Oumidaijyo he has received Oumikami.
Shoutoku first year(1711) he has passed away at the age of 85.
He was successful from the Kanbun period to Shoutoku period first year. This sword is wide and thick firm piece. The many activities in the blade and the cutting edge that is across shinogiji is marvelous.
We recommend this healthy first generation Hisamichi.
