habaki : Silver Gassan habaki.
Blade length : 68.6 cm or 27.00 inches.
Sori : 1.9 cm or 0.74 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.08 cm or 1.21 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.97 cm or 0.77 inches.
Kasane : 0.73 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Syowa period.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick with deep sori nice looking both sides has Bo-Hi engraved.
Jitetsu : Koitame had quite well with jinie attach bay¥dutiful texture.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair with long kinsuji and sunagashi work.

Special feature : The founder of the Gassan school started from Kamakura period at Gassan mountain area and continued to late Muromachi period but this school line fails.
At the end of Edo period,Gassan Sadakazu tried to revived Gassan Ayasugi hada sword and succeeded.
Sadakatsu made many swords for his father and made a sword factory at Nara Yoshino province.
He made Ayasugi had gassan sword, Sosyu school, Bizen school and others and also sword engraving.
He made for Emperor, royal families, high ranking army and navy officers.
This sword has Gassan habaki which is typical use for Gassan swords.
The blade is very attractive JIgane(texture) and fantastic hamon with long kinsuji and soft nioikuchi hamon.
This sword is custom order, so the blade is not regular swords but special sword which is the best quality.
