We list the level of sowrd in four level. The top level is Saijyo Saku followed by Jyojyo Saku, Jyo Saku and Regular Saku.
The blade was polished
Habaki : Gold Double Foiled Habaki
Blade length : 71.4cm or 28.11inches.
Sori : 1.96cm or 0.77inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.07cm or 1.21inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.96cm or 0.77inches.
Kasane : 0.75cm or 0.3inches.
Era : Late Muromachi Period Eisho Period 1558-1570
Shape : It is regular width and thickness. It is nice elegant shape original nakago.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attached. The hada pattern is well seen.
Hamon : Nie Deki suguha with double ha mixed.
There are sunagashi and fine kinsuji works.

Special feature : Moritsugu is one of Kongo Byoe school sword smith
and it is unique Nakago jiri of a shape of dagoba. This sword smith group has flourished
from Kamakura period to late Muromachi period
During Muromachi period, sword smith such as Moritaka, Morimitsu, Morimasa, Morikuni, Moritsuna
and Moriyoshi was successful. Many of the blades they made are plain with clear jigane
and Suguha Deki. These sword are said to be from Yamashiro school students.
The pieces has much history and some swords even made in Nanbokucho period.
This piece is nice sword of Kongo Byoe School and has many activities.

Fortunately, the nakago is not Suriage style and has only one mekugi hole which is also rare.

Koshirae : Higo Koshirae
Tsuba : Mokko shape shakudo nanakoji plate with rim.
The plate has horse and Samurai design.
Fuchikashira : Iron plate flower design with gold inlay.
Saya : Red brown color
Menuki : Copper plate with pattern engraved and inlaid with gold.
