Katana : Musashi Ju Hosho Fujiwara Muneharu (Sekido)

Katana in Shirasaya(NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature: Musashi Ju Hosho Fujiwara Muneharu (Sekido).
The blade was polished.
habaki:copper single habaki.

Blade length :66.9 cm or 26.34 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.551inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.89cm or 1.134 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.93 cm or 0.76inches.
Kasane : 0.59cm or 0.232inches.
Weight of only blade: 675 gram
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is regular size with small sori like Kanbun style.
Jitetsu :Itame had well grained with jinie attach with jinie and slightly weak utsuri appear.
Hamon : small gunome and cyoji midair mixed and from monouchi area,
active Cyoji midare with ashi and yo scatter. Boshi is midarekomi and round shape.

Special feature : At Edo period, many sword school like Oumi,Fukuoka,and also Edo ishido work
for making Ichimonji style swords. Muneharu belonged to Edo ishido school.
First generation Ishido korekazu, Heki Mitsuhira, Tsunemitsu and Hata Mituyo were working for
making Ichimonji style swords. He also adored to make Ichimonji swords.
I think this sword lis very similar with First generation Korekazu and Hata Mitsuyo.
Probably he tried to make Katayama Ichimonji style sword.
