Katana in Shirasaya with koshirea(NTHK estimation Paper)

Signature : Mumei (Den Kaga Iyo Daijyou Katsukuni)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword Den Kaga Iyo Daijyo KAtsukuni belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki :Silver single habaki.
Blade length :69.2cm or 27.24 inches.
Sori : 2.0cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi :  2
Width at the hamachi :2.91cm or 1.14 inches.
Width at the kissaki: 2.08cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.58cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Edo Period Circa Kanbun
Shape: There is Bo-Hi engraved on both side of the blade.
It is Osuriage cut shorten tang with no signature.
The Sori is deep and at a glance it is work of late Muromachi period circa Eiroku.
Hamon: Togari gunome midare with Sanbonsugi(three cedars)
hamon that resembles Kanemoto's work.

Special feature : Dharaani Katsukuni has followed the style of Mino Kanemoto.
He has focused on the sharpness of the blade. This is same with Kanenobu
who is valued for his Sanbonsugi hamon owkr.
This katana has great jigane with loose sanbonsugi that resembles kanemoto.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round iron plate tsuba with wheel design engraved.
Fuchikashira: Wisteria and other platn is engraved and inlaid.
Saya: Black roiro saya Inro Kizami (ribbed) saya
Menuki: Shakudo plate with paulownia crest engraved and inlaid with gold.
