This Mumei (Kanenaga) belongs to Saijyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Blade length : 66.1 cm or 6.02 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 3.13 cm or 1.23 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.45 cm or 0.96 inches.
Kasane : 1.60 cm or 0.62 inches.
Era : Nanbokucho period.
Shape : Oo Suriage Mumei. Wide and thick with elegant deep Sori. Oo-Kissaki gorgeous Katana.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached. There are clear Utsuri.
Hamon : Nioi Deki, Choji Midare and Ko-Gunome Midare.
There are many Ashi, Yo and Kinsuji. It likes Soden.
Boshi is Midarekomi Hakikake style.
Special feature :Kanenaga was student of Nagayoshi in Bishu Osafune school.
NBTHK appraised this sword as Kanenaga, the blade is wide and thick
healthy blade which is called Sodenbizen.
On the Ji, there are clear Utsuri. Hamon of Kissaki is typcal So-den.
Especially there are a lot of works and fine Kinsuji in Ha. It looks like Nagayoshi blade.

Tsuba : Iron, Shishi dog is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo, Shishi dog and peony are engraved with gold and silver color.
Saya : Black with sprinkling of mother-of-pearl.
Menuki : Shishi dog is engraved.
