Sue-Koto, Saijosaku, Ryowazamono rank, Bizen province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This blade belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Copper single Habaki.
Blade length : 66.0 cm or 25.98 inches.
Sori : 1.9 cm or 0.74 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.99 cm or 1.17 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.01 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period. around Bunmei era(1469-1486).
Shape : Rather wide and thick blade with large Sori.
The Nakago is short. Katate Uchi Bizen blade.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada and Mokume Hada well grained with Jinie attach. Utsuri appear.
Hamon : Ko Nie Deki and Nioi Deki, The mixture of Ko Gunome Midare and Choji Midare.
In Ha, there are many Ko Ashi and Yo.
Boshi is Midarekomi Saki Togari gokoro.

Special feature : Osafune Katsumitsu is one of the higest acclaimed sword smith in Sue-Bizen.
He was designated as a Ryowazamono and Saijyo saku ranking. This blade has the Kurashiki museum estimation paper.
This blade is healthy. The Jigane is well grained. And there are Utsuri. The Hamon is exquisite Ko-Gunome Midare.
