This Mumei (Mino Senjuin) belongs to Jyosaku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.(Sashikomi)
Blade length : 70.0 cm or 27.55 inches.
Sori : 2.4 cm or 0.94 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.14 cm or 0.84 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : Regular size Katana with deep Sori.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach and visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Ko-Nie Deki, Gunome Midare and Togari Gunome mix.
In Ha, there are Sunagashi and Kinsuji.
Boshi is Midarekomi, Hakikake style.

Special feature : From the Jigane and Hamon, the blade looks Mino Senjyuin.
This school started from Nanbokucyo period to late Muromachi period.
So many years ago, sword makers in Nara, moved to Mino province and made swords mixed up with Mino school and Senjyuin style.
We think that the blade was made around middle to late Muromachi period.
The polishing is nice Sashikomi. The condition is also good.

Tsuba : Ellipse shape iron Tsuba. pine tree and old man are engraved.
Fuchikashira : Kojiri: Kurikata: Iron with brass inlay.
Saya : Black Ishimeji Saya.
Menuki : Shakudo, tiger is engraved with gold color.
